Tammy Hicks is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 13 years of experience working within physiotherapy and multidisciplinary clinic settings. She has extensive experience treating complex musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic pain, scoliosis-related dysfunction, sports injuries, and recovery from motor vehicle accidents such as whiplash and back pain.
Tammy is passionate about providing individualized care tailored to each client’s unique symptoms, goals, and functional needs. She believes in thorough assessment, listening closely to her clients, and creating targeted treatment plans designed to relieve pain, restore movement, and improve quality of life.
She often finds that restoring anatomical balance and proper body mechanics can significantly reduce the dysfunction many people experience from modern-day lifestyles, including prolonged sitting, electronic device use, poor posture, and everyday stress. Tammy incorporates myofascial release techniques, muscle stripping, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, and athletic taping when appropriate. She also focuses on a client’s ability to build strength and improve muscular balance to create better long-term function, no matter the age or stage of life.
Working closely with physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals, Tammy takes a collaborative approach to helping clients achieve lasting results and return to pain-free daily living. Tammy provides massage therapy out of the Niagara Falls location of Physiosense, but her wealth of knowledge and skill draws regulars from around the Niagara Region.
